Recordings of Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and Dartmouth songs and medleys will be made by the Band, Band Manager Walter J. Skinner '48 announced last night. Tentatively entitled "Ivy League Album," the discs will total four records. Though a final choice of recording company has not been made, the albums are expected to be ready for distribution through Band members by February 1.
Malcolm H. Holmes, Dean of the New England Conservatory of Music, will direct the Band during the recordings from medleys specially prepared for the Band by F. Leroy Anderson '29. The recordings will be similar to those heard by Crimson grid fans between the halves at this fall's football games.
