Houses Start Squash, Basketball, Swimming As Grid Season Ends

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Basketball, squash, and swimming will highlight the intramural schedule for the remainder of the term, with the end last week of football and touch football, Adolph Samborski, director of intramural athletics, announced yesterday.

Hockey possibilities remain in doubt due to lack of ice facilities, but Samborski is making every effort to arrange an inter-House puckster competition.

Regular hoopster practice sessions will be inaugurated on Monday following the Thanksgiving weekend, Samborski said, and two games per week for each team will be scheduled, starting two weeks later. The season will include two weeks before Christmas, one week before final exams, and five weeks thereafter.

Mermen, Racqueteers to Clash

Squash competition will start the week of December 16, each House being represented by two teams of five men apiece, and squash ladders have already been drawn up in several Houses.

Intramural mermen will get their first splash of regular competition after Christmas, although aquatically-minded individuals can work out in the pool on Wednesday nights, he said.
