Crimson Booters Boast Organized Lineup for M.I.T.

MacDonald Changes Forward, Halfback Lines for Tilt with Techmen Today at 2 O'Clock

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

With a lineup radically different from that which started any of the previous games, the Varsity soccer team takes to the Business School Field today at 2 o'clock in an attempt to snap a two game losing streak against the engineers from M.I.T.

The Techmen, according to reports emanating downstream, have a wealth of good material but as yet have not welded the material into a consistently winning outfit. Two weeks ago they lost to Tufts by the score of 3 to 2, the same margin by which the Crimson heat the Jumbos, over a month ago. Rizo-Patron, playing at the inside right is their high scorer with an average of better than a goal a game while Dimitrion, the left fullback, is the backbone of the defense.

Blames Wing Halfbacks

Commenting on the loss at Dartmouth last week, Coach MacDonald placed the blame largely on the wing halfbacks who failed to cover the Indian outside forwards and the failure by the Crimson attack to make full use of its wings on offense. To try to overcome these weaknesses Mac has reorganized the forward line promoting Roger Lazarus to first-string inside right, and raising Hugh Morse to first-string inside left. Phil Potter will stay at center forward with Arnold Corrigan on the outside left. With Jocko Smith still out with an injured leg, Curtis Cate will open at outside right.

For his halfback line Mac will start captain Carlos Blanco at left half, shifting him from his usual slot on the forward line. Dave Ogden, who has started all the other games at center half, has been changed to right half while Hunt Mavor is to start at the center half spot.

The rest of the defense is the same as usual, with Dick Forster and Bob Purinton opening at the fullback spots and Dick Harshman taking case of the nets.
