Cambridge Police Keep Normal Force for Coming Week End

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

No special police will be called out to handle the swarms of automobiles and celebrants expected to flood Cambridge over the weekend, the Cambridge police department announced yesterday.

"I think the regular force will be able to handle them," declared the traffic head when quizzed about possible Saturday night demonstrations in the Square. The department saw no cause for alarm over latent unruliness and asserted that the problem had not even come up for discussion.

Neither were any special arrangements being made to accommodate the influx of automobiles. During the game, both owners and police will "just use their judgment," said the police department representative.

Out-of-state cars will receive some measure of special consideration on overnight parking, according to department policy, but the usual crew will be out to tag local violators.
