Leverett House secured a firmer held on its second-place berth in the intramural gridiron loop yesterday, setting back a hapless eleven from Winthrop House 9 to 0, with its fifth shutout in as many starts.
Scoring two points in the second frame when a Puritan center descended in the end zone, the Bunnies completed a touchdown pass in the third quarter with Joe Hurley tossing to John Snyder after Andy Cooper's long punt return set up the score. Norm Cameron converted.
In an informal game, the powerful Yard eleven rolled to another win in its undefeated season so far, dropping Dudley 19 to 0. After a scoreless first half, Bob Zimmerman carried the ball over twice in the third quarter and Bob Parker tallied the final touchdown on a 15-yard end-around play.
