'Doing Best' Says HAA on Football Ticket Allocation

His Office Attempting to Please All Lunden Claims; 50,000 Seen for Stadium Saturday

Emphasizing that the H.A.A. was not out to beat only out of a good seat to any football game in Soldiers Field, Frank C. Lunden, ticket manager of the Association stated emphatically yesterday that his office was "doing its best" to cope with the heavy demand for tickets to this Saturday's game with Holy Cross.

He added that the highest attendance of the season, possibly reaching 50,000, was anticipated for the contest.

Replying to a stream of complaints registered by date-taking undergraduates who have found their seat assignments for this Saturday to be in the neighborhood of the end zone, both Lunden and William J. Bingham '16, director of the H.A.A. offered assurances that under the present system of permanent season allocations it was inevitable that certain positions should be unfavorable.

Because positions are assigned to these men turning in one ticket for two tickets one week before the game, Lunden said that it was entirely possible, but unavoidable, that a two-seat location might turn up in the cheering section in the few days prior to the game. These seats, he said, are sold to individuals on a first come, first served basis at the H.A.A. office.

He stated positively, however, that no tickets on the Harvard side of the field were being alloted to speculators.
