Duhig Named To Top Post in Brooks House

Charles W. Duhig '29, Assistant Dean of the College, took over the duties of Graduate Secretary of Phillips Brooks House today, as the organization announced the opening of a new student project, a Harvard Ticket Agency which will begin operations on Wednesday.

Dean Duhig will succeed Richard A. Waite, Jr. '35, now Dean of Norwich College, as leader of Brooks House activities. In his new position, Duhig will act in an advisory capacity to the student members of the group. He will continue to serve as Director of the Student Employment Office, as Secretary of Dudley Hall Commuters' Center, and as a member of the Board of Freshman Advisers.

Tickets for Boston Theatres Sold

A ten-man PBH Ticket Committee, headed by Lawrence R. Klepper '49, decided yesterday that a Harvard ticket agency would start selling theatre and sporting event tickets Wednesday.

Sanctioned by the new Graduate Secretary and University officials, the agency will procure tickets for current attractions appearing at the Colonial, Shubert, Plymouth, Wilbur, Tributary, and Copley theatres. Tickets and reservations for Jordan and Symphony Halls will be provided through the Brooks House project in addition to accommodations for the Boston Opera House.

Students desiring tickets must apply at Phillips Brooks House between 10:30 and 11:30 o'clock or 4 and 5 o'clock, Monday through Friday. Upon application, the Agency representative will phone the theatre box office and obtain the space desired by the student, thus saving a trip to Boston and the consequent waiting in theatre lines.

Limited to Harvard Men

Agency representatives are authorized to collect the price of tickets for which the applicant will receive a receipt which can be exchanged at the theatre box office for tickets on the night of the performance.

Sale of ducats will be limited to members of Harvard University, although sale to Radcliffe students is also anticipated. In addition to ticket sales, the Agency will offer a complete suggestion list of places to dine in the vicinity of Boston and current dances and entertainment throughout the metropolitan area.
