Quintet Seeks Repeat Win Over Underpowered Tech

Five in a row is the goal of the Stahl quintet as it takes on a weak M.I.T. five at the Engineers' home courts tomorrow evening. The game, proceded, as usual by a Jayvee contest, will begin at 8:45 o'clock.

On the basis of the first game between the clubs, the Crimson should have no trouble in repeating its early season 42 to 21 win. Except for veteran right guard Chuck Wellard, no member of the Tech team even remotely possesses the class, speed or shooting ability which have marked the Varsity in its most recent games.

Swegan Joins Team

In addition to men who met them in the opener, the Engineers will see a new man in the Varsity lineup in the person of big Don Swegan of the NROTC. Though he played forward last year for a strong Bowdoin Wallace team, Swegan has been sidelined till now by the recurrence of an old football injury. He saw his first hoop practice yesterday afternoon, but the chances are good that he will see plenty of action tomorrow.

Rumors of Gray's Departure

About the current rumors that Gray will be leaving Harvard at midyears, Coach Stahl was noncommittal. Since Gray is in the Navy, nobody on the athletic staff is in a position to confirm or deny that report, he said.

Coach Stahl will probably start the same quintet which edged out Tufts 52 to 48 in the last game before the Christmas recess. The lineup: Wyndol Gray and John Gautt, forwards; Lou Decsi, center; Saul Mariaschin and Paul Champion, guards.
