NETWORK NOT TO BROADCAST OVER SUMMER

The Harvard Crimson Network will go off the air at the end of the term, officials of the Network announced last night, for the second time since its founding in 1940. New officers will be in charge when Station WHCN resumes activities at the beginning of the fall term.

John Maitland Brewer Churchill, Jr. '47 replaces Philip M. Stern '47 as President as the result of elections held Sunday evening. Stern, who will graduate on June 28, has held the position since February 9 of this year. Churchill, absent from the College this term, served for a short time after his election to the Network in August 1943 as Business Manager, and has been Technical Director since July 1944.

Bookspan Still Program Manager

Martin Bookspan '47 remains as Program Manager, a post he has held for some time. Gerald F. Genn '48 replaces William E. Sullivan '45 in the position of Business Manager, with Sullivan also graduating in June. Charles A. Shaw of the V-12 unit is also retiring because of approaching commencement, and William F. Clark '48 will fill his post as Production Director.

Other appointments include Robert DuBois'48 as Technical Director, replacing Hartford Gunn '48, and Theodore Lee Rowland '48 as Popular Music Director.
