With the Freshman Jubilee less than a month away, the hotel situation in Boston and Cambridge for May 26 has already become critical. According to a report by the Jubilee Committee, three major hotels are already sold out for that weekend.
Although these three, the Continental, Sheraton, and Vendome have no more vacancies, ten other important hotels have reported various rooms available. Of these, however, only the Ritz and Touraine have singles and the latter reported that very few were left.
The Bradford, Copley, Kenmore, Pioneer, and Statler announced a large number of doubles only. After these there are only multiple and dormitory arrangements to be had at the Beaconsfield, Commander, and Statler.
Six-person suites at the Beaconsfield and others for four at the Statler comprise the only multiples, while the Commander, located just off the Square, has initiated a dormitory setup.
