STUDENT COUNCIL DISCLOSES BUDGET

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Announced yesterday were the Student Council's plans for donations from the Harvard Service Fund pledge collections. Pledges for the Fund are made at all Freshman registrations and money is collected in addition, during an annual drive.

Added to the $700 which has already been donated to Phillips Brooks House will be $300, making a total of $1000 for the fiscal year ending July 1, 1945. Five hundred dollars will be given to the Red Cross and $50 is labelled for the World Student fund.

Less money was available for gifts this year than in pre-war years because of the decrease in pledge collections. Six times as much money was collected in 1943-44 than during the present fiscal year.
