Hoagland, Montagu in New Lecture Positions

Only two new visiting lectures will conduct courses at the University during the spring term, according to an announcement of recent appointments by the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. They are Montague F. A. Montagu, Associate Professor of Anatomy at the Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia, and Hudson Hoagland, Professor of Psychology at Clark University.

Professor Montagu is scheduled to give Sociology 4a (Social Development of the Individual) and Sociology 12a (Race, Society, and culture), while Professor Hoagland will give Psychology 22 (Physiological Psychology).

Additional visiting lecturers, who will be held over from the summer and winter terms, include Ralph P. Boas. Visiting Lecturer on Mathematics; Stanley G. Estes, Visiting Lecturer on Psychology; Herman Finer, Visiting Lecturer on Government; Paul A. Palmer, Visiting Lecturer on Government; Ralph Salem, Visiting Lecturer on Mathematics; and Hu Shih, Visiting Lecturer on Chinese.

Fletcher M. Green, Visiting Lecturer on American History, has returned to the University of North Carolina after completion of his lectures during the past summer and winter terms. Professor Green's courses were History 5a, History 65a, History 65b, and History 165b.
