Initial '47 Red Books Allotted to Navy Men

Additional Copies Due Soon For Distribution to Civilians

Navy men in Harvard's war Class of 1947 were the first to see the '47 Freshman Red Book when a limited number of copies were distributed in Eliot House Chow Hall last night.

Bound in the traditional crimson cover yet bearing the signs of war, the '47 Red Book does an admirable job of collecting the loose ends of a class which is so scattered and undefined. It is smaller than Red Books Harvard men of the past remember, but it contains sections on all of the Houses open for '47 and a comprehensive section on activities so noticeably absent in '46's Red Book.

Though no promises are being made, Red Book Chairman Thomas L. P. O'Donnell '47, formerly of Dunster House and now in V-12, stated that copies are expected in the near future for civilian distribution.
