Jayvee Eleven Wastes Lead; Maritime Seconds Win, 13-9

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Crimson Jayvee eleven, after blasting out an early lead over the Massachusetts Maritime Academy here Saturday, finally succumbed on the short end of a 13 to 9 count. Freshman E. N. Foynes scored the only Crimson touchdown on an end run in the first period, but Coach Al Kevorkian's outfit was unable to hold the mariners. After a sailor score in the second quarter, the home team struck back with a safety early in the second half, but a last-period tally sewed up the contest for the visitors.
