BOOTERS BEAT TABOR, 6 TO 0

Acquirre Gets Five Goals; Harriers Trail Tufts, 20-38

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

While the hapless harriers were losing to Tufts at Medford by a 20 to 35 count on Saturday, Manny Acquirre booted in a quintet of goals to lead the B soccer team to a 6 to 0 win over a visiting Tabor Academy outfit.

The Crimson booters functioned on all cylinders for the first time this year and had the situation well under control throughout the game. The sixth goal, scored by Dick Miller, was adding insult to injury, for the Tabor eleven was far outclassed. Acquirre's accurate foot was the answer to all the home team's problems.

The cross country team continued to trail all opponents, as expected. Their defeat on Saturday came at the heels of an 18 to 37 loss to M.E.T. Tuesday.
