Paced by the fast play of Wally Trumbull, the NROTC hockey squad ran up a 3 to 2 victory over the unofficial Harvard civilian team Wednesday morning at the Boston Skating Club. In the first of two 25-minute periods the Navy scored two goals. The NROTC came through with one more in the second half, threatening to blank the civilians, but in the last two minutes of play Bill Ayres put two shots past the Navy goalie.
Starting for the NROTC were: l.w., Frothingham; c., Greeley; r.w., Tighlman; l.d., Trumbull; r.d., Perkins; g., Knowles. For the civilians; r.w., Ayres; c., Weston; l.w., Glidden; r.d., Clark; l.d., Gormley; g., DeGunzberg. The civilian team lost to Phillips Andover Academy, 4 to 2, at Andover last Saturday.
