Arthur Pope '01, professor of Fine Arts, has been appointed Acting Director of the Fogg Museum until July 1, the University announced yesterday. He succeeds Edward W. Forbes '95, who recently became Emeritus after 25 years as Director.
Professor Pope, whose field is the theory of drawing and painting and the principles of design, was Acting Director of the Museum during 1918-19, rising in the latter year to a full professorship.
