Bobcat Hunt Tomorrow at 3:00

Warning against over-optimism, Coach Henry Lamar prepared today to send his Crimson Varsity eleven into battle tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock on Soldiers Field, with a Bates squad that was beaten Saturday by a polished and powerful Coast Guard Academy team.

With two members of his starting eleven for the Tufts contest in sick bay, Lamar has added a second Freshman to his lineup. Walt Coulson, star Frosh first baseman on the nine, will replace Rod Perkins at right end, and Fred Garfield will fill in for Wally Mroz at left guard.

Polishing Defenses

For the past week the Crimson has been practicing defense tactics, in addition to polishing up the deceptive offensive they displayed last weekend in Soldiers Field, when the running of fleet-footed Marvin Jenkins led to a last-quarter tally and victory. Tickets for the Bates game, which in days of formal football was a regular on the Harvard schedule, will be sold on the same basis as those for the Tufts encounter.
