Richard M. Dorson has submitted his resignation as Varsity tennis coach and Arthur Douropulos '31, Secretary of the Committee on the Use of English, has been appointed to replace him, Carroll F. Getchell, director of the H.A.A., announced Monday.
Dorson has accepted a position at Michigan State College, where he will teach English and English Literature. Douropulos has been working out with the net squad since the beginning of the summer term and has already taken over his new duties. He has had previous experience as a tennis mentor, having coached at Penn State for some time before his arrival at Harvard.
