'46, '47 WILL SELECT COUNCIL MEMBERS

Balloting Scheduled For Today in Houses

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Elections to fill eight vacant positions on the Student Council will be held today in the House dining rooms. Five men of the Class of '47 and three from the Class of '46 will be chosen from the list of 26 drawn up by the nominating committee on Monday, July 17.

All men who have been in the College for one or more terms are permitted to take part in today's voting. A ballot with a complete list of all nominees will be given to each eligible voter in his House dining hall.

Garrity and Francke in Charge

In charge of the elections are Paul G. Garrity '46 and Hugo Francke '47, each man having been given the responsibility for the balloting in his own Class.

Those directing the actual voting in each House will be the House Committee representatives, who are W. L. Jack Edwards '47 and C. Austin Fish '46 from Adams House; John T. Noonan '47 and Frederick P. Murphy '46 from Lowell House; Richard Hunneman '46-V-12 and Charles Thompson V-12 from Eliot House; Richard J. Creedon '46-NROTC and Jerome Andrews V-12 from Kirkland House; and Paul F. O'Rourke '46 and William E. Murphy '47 from Dudley Hall.

The last Council elections were held on April 4. At that time the Classes of 1946 and '47 chose 11 men to fill all vacancies on the Council, and all men elected then who are still at College will continue as members.
