Fresh from its 4 to 3 victory over Brown, the Crimson baseball Varsity will meet Bowdoin here Friday, and then will journey to play the Quonset Naval Air Station on Saturday.
Quonset met the Stahlmen last spring, beating pitcher Jack Wallace in a 4 to 2 heartbreaker. The contest was the first of the spring season, and that may have accounted for the losers' sloppy playing, which gave up four unearned runs to Quonset. Coach Stahl will probably send Wallace against the same club again, using the lineup which won the Brown game last Saturday. The contest is scheduled for 3:15 o'clock.
The Bowdoin game will start at 4 o'clock Friday at Soldiers Field. The Crimson has not met Bowdoin thus far this season, but Harvard will use its regular lineup with the probable exception of Jack Wallace, since it is unlkely that he will pitch two days in a row.
A difficult schedule confronts the Varsity for the remainder of the summer. The squad, however, has a most dependable pitcher in Wallace, and if the club can continue to show the batting power which it did in the opener, Coach Stahl's charges may chalk up an enviable record.
