ASTP RETURNS HOME FOR NEW TERM OF STUDY

Unit Reduced in Number by Transferring of Reservists

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Returning from a seven-day furlough between terms, the unit of ASTP trainees will begin the long grind of classes this week. The ASTP unit finds itself reduced in number by the loss of the company of 17-year-old army reservists. Transferred out, most of the reservists will soon find themselves going through the paces of basic training.

A single company has been formed from the remaining trainees including students of language, sanitary engineering, pre-medical and pre-dental classifications.

Capt. May Company Commander

Captain Robert P. May assumes command of the new company, while Captain William L. Lomax, formerly commander of the new de-activated Company B, has been named adjutant to Colonel Francis Purdon, professor of Military Science and Tactics and Commandant of Army Training Schools at Harvard.
