Dunster Tops Blood Drive

25 Funster Donors Have Given Plasma

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Answering the armed forces urgent call for blood plasma, Harvard responded with nearly five gallons in a drive sponsored by Phillips Brooks House through the American Red Cross.

Dunster House leads the civilian House competition with a contribution of 25 pints, and Lowell follows with ten pints. Adams trails far behind the other two Houses in supplying what will mean life or death for many in the coming invasion with only three contributors. The inter-House competition will continue through the month of May.

Each person is given a simple physical examination before donating blood, but after the painless process the donor receives refreshments. The entire appointment consumes only three-quarters of an hour.

Bronze Red Cross donor pins are given to persons making a gift of blood, after which a silver pin is awarded for three donations. Appointments can be obtained by calling at 485 Boylston Street from 8:45 o'clock to 8:30 o'clock on weekdays and from 8:45 o'clock to 8:30 o'clock on Saturdays.
