Dr. Alfred LeRoy Johnson, professor of Clinical Dentistry, has been appointed Administrative Officer of the new School of Dental Medicine and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, University officials announced recently.

The new school was established on March 31 to replace the Harvard Dental School, oldest of its kind in the nation. Dr. Johnson, who will be the first head of the new school, has taught at Tufts, Michigan, and Pennsylvania in addition to writing several books in the field of orthodontics.
