COMPETITIONS FOR HARVARD SERVICE NEWS TO START SOON

Two weeks from this Wednesday night the HARVARD SERVICE NEWS will once again open the doors to fame, fortune and free beer when they start their usual spring competition for positions on the board of editors.

The portals of the building at 14 Plympton Street will be swung wide for all men, civilian or V-12, who want to learn a little journalism, acquire business experience, or develop some photographic skill.

Good for Freshmen

A unique feature of the competition is that it requires no previous experience since high school journalism differs so much from that used in colleges. The duration of the competition will be a minimum of four weeks and election comes when the editors feel that you are competent enough to join their ranks.

Just Drop Around

When the fatal night arrives you may indicate your intentious by just dropping into the building at 7:30 o'clock to look over the machinery that goes to making up your paper.

All Equipment Furnished

The paper has all equipment needed except the brains. It has photographic equipment in the form of a Speed Graphic and a well stocked darkroom. News men will be furnished with a gilt edged typewriter and busy board men may expect a well filled contract book which needs only a few signatures to make it shine.

Aside from the fun there is in putting out the paper, the competition furnishes an opportunity for men to become acquainted with the Deans in a method far more pleasant than the ordinary one.
