Belanger threw in a foul and then the Crimson sent five successive baskets through the hoop before the sailors tallied next on a shot by the same Belanger. Then Harvard added two more, to bring the tally to 36 to 32. Ray Moley scored three of the seven baskets on the three successive attempts.

At this point the Coast Guard checked the spurt by stealing the ball from Harvard twice in a row to score two baskets, while Moley scored the only Crimson basket before time ran out.

"The next Varsity clash will be a return match with Camp Thomas this Saturday night and will be held at home. The soldiers won the first encounter between the two teams, 66 to 39.
