V-12 Orchestra Organized For Naval Personnel Here

Promising many a syncopated hour for Naval Training Units at Harvard, a V-12 orchestra has been formed under the sponsorship of Lt. (jg) C. J. O'Neill, USNR, welfare officer of Harvard's naval establishment.

The 12 piece band, consisting of four saxophones, three trumpets, two trombones, piano, drums, and bass, has already rehearsed once under the leadership of Chuck Drew V-12, of the unit. Many of the players have had professional experience in bands and on the radio and the instruments have been supplied by members of the group.

The orchestra will be available for dances at Harvard and Radcliffe and Lt. O'Neill is handling the booking, sheet music, and other arrangements.
