Balloting of the Class of '46, which has been held by mail after the House voting January 13, resulted in the election of Frank S. Whiting, of Eliot House and Torrance, California, as First Marshal, and Paul G. Garrity, of Kirkland House and Arlington, as Second Marshal. The Third Marshal post went to Richard A. Chenoweth, of Kirkland House and Akron, Ohio.
Daniel R. Shields, of Kirkland House and Sugar Grove, Illinois, was chosen Class Secretary, and Blaise F. Alfano, of Kirkland House and Roslindale, received the post of Treasurer. Six additional then were chosen as members of the permanent Class Committee: Donald J. Blake, of Kirkland House and Rochester, New York; Thomas A. Caldwell, Jr., of Kirkland House and Chattanooga, Tennessee; Lawrence Creshkoff, of Eliot House and Philadelphia; Robert M. Hart, of Eliot House and Tulsa, Oklahoma; Walter H. Trumbull, Jr., of Kirkland House and Weston; and Richard L. Warren, of Eliot House and Rockton, Illinois.
All Men Active
Whiting is now secretary of the Student Council and is in charge of Freshman affairs. He was chairman of the Class of '46 Freshman Committee. Garrity was a regular back for Henry Lamar's informals this year, while Chenoweth was on last year's Jubilee Committee.
Shields was expected to be an important member of the Crimson basketball team this winter, but a broken ankle put him out before the season started. Alfano has been active in College activities, and is now treasurer of the Student Council. He is secretary of Phillips Brooks House, while last year he was on the '46 Freshman Committee.
In last year's activities Caldwell was on the Jubilee Committee, and Creshkoff was treasurer of the Freshman Committee; Hart is now on the Student Council. Trumbull and Warren were both main-stays of the informal football team, and Warren has also starred on the court this winter.
