The Student Council, at a meeting held on December 14, appointed a three man Social Affairs Committee to minimize conflicts between undergraduate extra-curricular activities by apportioning dates for dances and other major social functions. The Committee will be headed by Harish C. Mahindra '46 of Adams House.
Rounding out the committee are Robert Fisher, NROTG and Charles T. Noonan '46 of Lowell House. Mahindra, in addition to heading the new group, has been designated an registrar for undergraduate activities. All organizations planning affairs to which the public is invited are requested to register with Mahindra to that no two conflicting programs will take place the same evening.
Improvement in the food situation was reported by the Food Committee. Since recent disturbances caused an investigation the quality of the civilian meals has gone up considerably.
Thomas O'Donnell, chairman of the '47 Red Book, reported that the book is promised for the printer by the end of January. The Council is sponsoring the publication of this annual.
