Officially opening the 1944-45 basketball season, head coach Floyd Stahl will greet all prospective hoopmen this evening at 7 o'clock in the Indoor Athletic Building.
Home and home games have been arranged with Holy Cross, Tufts, Brown, Worcester Tech, M.I.T., and other neighboring teams. Practice sessions, scheduled for 5 o'clock in the afternoon are expected to divide the squad into an A and a B team in the near future.
At the same time, it was announced by assistant athletic director Adolph W. Samborski '26, that the House grid league this term would include teams from Adams and Lowell, and both a V-12 and NROTC outfit from Eliot. Men living in Standish Hall will be eligible to compete for the Houses which serve them their meals.
The schedule:
Tuesday, November 14, Adams vs. Eliot V-12.
Wednesday, November 15, Lowell vs. Eliot-NROTC.
Friday, November 17, Adams vs. Eliot NROTC; Lowell vs. Eliot V-12.
Tuesday, November 21, Adams vs. Lowell; Eliot V-12 vs. NROTC.
House football coaches include Bill Fraser of Adams, Chief Dunlap of Eliot V-12, Tom Murphy of Lowell, and Chief Newman of Eliot NROTC.
