Eliot V-12 Legend Stands; Kirkland Drops Grid Final

Intramurals End in Uneven 26-7 Fracas

Eliot's V-12 football team completed its conquest of all intramural competition yesterday when it breezed by a powerless Kirkland House NROTC team 26 to 7 at Soldiers Field. At the same time that Eliot was gaining its third victory of the current campaign, the Bellboys of Lowell House were busily engaged in losing to the Adams House eleven 12 to 0.

The V-12'ers first tally came when they drove 60 yards to score on a plunge. The other three touchdowns were scored by Kelly and Roy Zimmerman, who took the ball over twice. The NROTC score came on a sensational run by Harry Brogdon, which went for about 35 yards. Marv Jenkins converted to complete the losers' scoring.

In the other game, the Gold Coasters played sloppy ball, and only through the fine work of Dan Fodor and the benefit of a couple of breaks did they win.

Yesterday's games completed the intramural schedule, and as a result of last Friday's games, which ended Eliot 25-Lowell 6, and Kirkland 6-Adams 0, Eliot took the crown with three wins, no losses. Kirkland followed with two wins, one loss, with Adams and Lowell taking up the rear with one victory and two defeats, and no wins and three losses, respectively.
