After over half a term of uncertainty as to its social future, the Freshman Committee decided last night to hold a dance for members of the class October 9.
In addition to regular civilian Freshmen, first year V-12 men as well as ASTP reserves are invited to the informal dance.
The admission, including tax, will be $1.75 per couple, $1.25 stag, the band will be announced at the beginning of next week.
Freshman Committeemen also decided at last night's meeting that plans for a smoker this term have been abandoned, but that smoker plans may re-materialize next term.
Stephan D. Becker will take care of the tickets and of obtaining a band, James R. Hollis is in charge of getting a dance hall and Richard A. Green is director of dance publicity.
