Mechem, Anderson, Merwyn Nominated By Varsity Club

Harvard Varsity Club members nominated Richard W. Mechem '45 for vice-president at a meeting in the club house last night, announced Richard C. Floyd '11, president of the club.

Mechem, who won his letter at hockey, will act as Chairman of the Undergraduate Executive Committee to which Lloyd M. Anderson '44, football letterman, and Galus W. Merwyn '45, crew "H" holder, were also nominated last night.

The Varsity Club's annual meeting will be held next Tuesday, at which five graduate and the above undergraduate officers will be elected. At present 116 lettermen are studying at Harvard, 79 of them in the V-12 and 37 as civilians.
