Archbishop Spellman Speaks to Chaplains

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In his role as military vicar for the armed forces of the United States, Archbishop Francis J. Spellman of New York, played host to the Catholic chaplains of the Army Chaplains' School here at a dinner meeting Wednesday night in the Copley Plaza Hotel. Heading the group of more than 100 chaplains who attended was Colonel William D. Cleary, commanding officer of the school.

Having just returned from a trip to the Vatican, Spain, and Africa, the archbishop addressed the priests with first hand information about the tasks confronting their fellow-chaplains in Army camps and on the battle-fronts in the war against the Axis in Europe.
