V-12ers Will Elect Six

House Committee to Be Chosen Tomorrow

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The 930 V-12 men stationed at Eliot and Kirkland Houses are to elect a representative House Committee similar to the same organizations in the Houses still retained by the College. The election will take place tomorrow and the new representatives are expected to attend the Inter-house Committee meeting on Thursday.

The purpose of the new V-12 House Committee will be to cooperate with the undergraduate House Committees in organizing dances, parties, and entertainment in which V-12 men will be allowed to participate. Besides managing all the social functions, the V-12 House Committee will act as a medium through which men may lodge any suggestions or complaints to the officers in charge.

Men Have Four Choices

There are not to be any candidates nominated for the representative positions as elections will be run on a pure democratic basis. Ballots will be distributed to all V-12 men who will write their four choices for the position of House Committee member. After the ballots have been counted under the supervision of the staff, the six men receiving the highest number of votes will be elected.

Kirkland House Included

Lieutenant Edward Hodnett, USNR, officer-in-charge of the unit, has been in charge of the formation of the Committee and has offered his full cooperation in its organization. Since there are only a few V-12 men stationed at Kirkland House, they will be represented by the Eliot House Committee.
