Although plans for the Intramural Sports League which was to include the Platoon Leagues, the Houses, and the V-12 unit have had to be abandoned because of the increasing burden of new duties laid on the service men, the Houses and V-12 will continue to pick up games with the Platoons whenever possible, Adolph W. Samborksi director of intramural athletics, announced yesterday. Previously plans aimed to weld all these leagues into a compact intramural unit.
In the softball games played yesterday, the Platoon League won two of its three games dropping a 9-18 victory to Dunster House, the leaders in the House League. Platoon 1 swamped Lowell 10-3, while Platoon 4 defeated the Gold Coasters 5-3.
In baseball Friday, Adams, second place holders in the House League, defaulted to Lowell. In other Friday contests, Kirkland hung a 12-8 softball defeat on the Commuters.
