Communications to Provide 'Swing and Sing' Tuesday

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

What's jiyin'?--What's swinging? Whether you like your music "sweet" or "hot," the "Swing and Sing Session" to be held in the Yard on the steps of Memorial Church Tuesday evening, August 17, at 7 o'clock, presented by members of the Naval Training School (Communications) is guaranteed to satisfy.

Music both sweet and hot will be provided by the NTS (Communications) Band under the direction of Ensign J. W. Oliver. To the Rounders around the school, this band is familiar, as it is the one organized by men of the regiment to play for the weekly dances at Phillips Brooks House.

A 60-voice choir under the direction of Lt. (jg) O. B. Dahle will feature a group of old sea chanteys. This group was well received recently at the Hatch Memorial Shell on the local "I Am An American" program, and also at a Boston Symphony Concert.

What's most important, there won't be a muster; but if you aren't present you will be marked "absent" on the fun to be provided by this "jam-up" program.
