Two members of the Army Specialized Training Unit here became citizens of the United States a few days ago with the final formal ceremonies at federal district court in Boston. They are Fred M. Wasser and Leopold Basnicki.

Both are working in the Advanced Phase of Foreign Area studies. Basniski, a law student in Germany until 5 years ago, entered the Army 28 months ago. He came here from the anti-aircraft artillery. Both men returned to their barracks at Leverett House with proud smiles after the ceremonies. "It is difficult to put into words what we feel," Basniski said.
