On the same day that the Harvard Athletic Association announces that the University will not participate in intercollegiate football next fall, the spring footballers will meet Medford High School in an informal scrimmage.
Coach Henry Lamar had hoped to have scheduled games such as the team played last year with Tufts or other colleges that were stressing spring football. The abandoning of vernal football by many of the local colleges has made it impossible for actual games to be scheduled.
The 55 candidates have been exposed to much new and interesting technique under Lamar's tutelage besides getting a slant on the Harlow system. Major athletic credit is given those who attend the educational movies that are shown when weather does not permit practice.
