Bringing the number of captains at Shannon Hall to four, Captain Russell N. Fairbanks, FA, instructor of Mil Sci 1, was promoted Saturday to his present rank from that of First Lieutenant. Fairbanks received his commission through the ROTC here after attending summer camp in 1941. He has served here as an instructor since last summer.
In the Quartermaster Unit, Major Hugh Kevin was promoted from the rank of captain while, at the same time, and Lieutenants Walter R. Guthrie, Herbert S. Stewart, and Earle W. Tyler, also of that unit, were promoted to the rank of First Lieutenant.
