RUDMAN WINS NO-HIT GAME

Dudley, Eliot, Kirkland Win In House Baseball Contests

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

No-hit pitching by Irv Rudman was more than enough for the Dudley baseball team as it squelched the Winthrop nine by the score of 8 to 0 yesterday on Soldiers Field. The Ramblers bunched their runs, scoring all of them in three straight innings, while Rudman went nonchalantly through seven frames, twirling his masterpiece.

It was a sad day for the Puritans, who dropped a softball encounter with Lowell, 6 to 5, earlier in the afternoon.

Ashley Carter's fine flinging shackled the Adams baseballers as Kirkland registered a 7 to 2 triumph. Carter's efforts were added by the stickwork of Dick Karb and Sherm Poland, while Frank Cushman shone at the plate for the Gold Coasters.

Excellent pitching seemed to be the order of the day and Marv Slesinger of Eliot contributed his share by hurling a one hitter against Dunster. The Elephants had a healthy day at the bat too, winning by the margin of 11 to 1.
