Musical Works of Students Premiered at Meeting Friday

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Meeting informally at Professor Edward Ballantine's house Friday night, the combined Harvard and Radcliffe Music Clubs heard the first performance of student works by Brogur, Troll, and Kalmanoff. The discussion and analysis of the individual pieces was led by D. Hugo Leichtentritt, who is a distinguished musicologist.

Capping the evening's entertainment, Professor Ballantine gave a number of satirical caricatures of the styles of the great masters.

There will be another opportunity to hear the Kalmanoff music and other outstanding student work on May 19, when a concert is scheduled.
