Chaplain (Major) First to Attend Leavenworth School

Chaplain (Major) Arthur Carl Piepkorn leaves this weekend for a nine-week course at Fort Leavenworth in Kansas. He is the first chaplain ever to be sent to the command and general staff school.

Piepkorn is scheduled to arrive at the school on the 17th of the month, and according to preset plans he will leave this weekend. No definite information as to the form of training he will be given is available.

The Chaplain (Major) has served with the school here in the position of assistant director of training in charge of course revision. It was impossible to discover in time for press who it is who will take his place.
