Kirkland House piling up a total of seven victories for an undefeated record took the interhouse volley ball championships with Adams and Leverett hot on their heels, Adolph W. Samborski, director of Intramural Athletics, announced last night.

Following in a close second was Adams House with six wins and one loss. In the third place slot came the Bunnies with five wins as opposed to two defeats. Dunster and Eliot were tied for the fourth and fifth positions each netting three triumphs and falling down in four contests.

Lowell Sixth

Sixth in the race were the boys from Lowell who came out on top in two games while losing the other five. Dudley and Winthrop tied it up for the seventh and cellar ratings in the standing, gaining one win and dropping six.

Samborski also announced that organized practice in other sports will begin on Tuesday. This will include baseball, softball, tennis and crew. Although informal training in some of these activities has been going on some time, it will not take on an official aspect until this date. The games will begin next week and a schedule will be released in a few days.

Later in the spring, Samborski went on to say, track relays and obstacle course races will also be conducted on an inter-House basis.

As far as the whole picture of House sports looks, Kirkland and Leverett are now-out in front in the race for the coveted Straus Trophy, according to Samborski. A complete up to date standing on this will also be released within the next few days.
