Winding up an unprecedented week of War Bond and Stamp sales, Adams House once more surged into the leading position to regain its crown. A total of $246.20 was collected in that House, double the sales for the Gold Coasters' nearest rival Kirkland.
By far the lion's share of this Adams total was accounted for by the individual purchases of Kurt Hoffman '44 which came to $118.75. This will entitle Hoffman to the receipt of a personal letter from personable Deanna Durbin, Universal's apple-checked song-stress, who recently promised an epistle to the Winner of last week's War Stamp and Bond contest.
The second position in last week's totals was nabbed by Kirkland House with $120.10, followed closely by Dunster with $110.75. Dunster, long in the cellar position since the sales were first inaugurated over a year ago, has recently been working its way into the top post in the House Bond and Stamp League.
The rest of the results follow: Winthrop $56.30, Leverett $45.45, Lowell $40.35, and Eliot $40.10.
