The 4 to 3 edge over Boston at Oakley was made possible by single match wins by Art Tarlow, Bill Allis, and Dick Chenbweth. The Crimson split the doubles matches when Tyke Wilcox and Art Tarlow lost and Bill Allis and George Nye won.
