A university extension course on the fundamentals of electricity under the direction of the State Department of Education will open Wednesday evening in Sever Hall.
This course, designed for men and women entering any branch of the armed services or any vocation in which a knowledge of electricity is essential, will be taught by John Y. Murray, head of the electrical department of the Rindge Technical School, Cambridge, and will be held twice a week, Wednesday and Friday evenings, for eight weeks. The lectures will present in a simple manner the basic principles of the science and will help develop a practical understanding of those principles.
