EXETER STICKMEN NOSE OUT HARVARD

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Playing their best game of the season, the Crimson lacrossemen were edged out 5 to 4 by a more experienced Exeter ten Friday. This was the last game for George Hanford before entering the Navy. He was given a wristwatch by the team in appreciation of the time he spent in organizing and coaching the players.

The game was fairly close with the Crimson matching the first two Exeter goals with tallies by George Angle and Bill Guild, but the preppers slipped off to a two point lead again. A Red and Grey score by Sam Ogden kept markers by Nat Brackett and Dink Donahue from forcing a tie. The fourth quarter was scoreless. The winners attack was sparked by Winslow Smith and Sam Ogden, both of whom scored twice.
