Marine Corps reservists will be called to active duty about July 1, and will follow a program similar to that of the Navy, according to the Yale Daily News, and will take the same qualifying test as V-1 in April. Marine offices in Boston, however, could not confirm this information, although it is generally accepted that the Marino reserve will be included in the Navy's v-12 college plan.
With deadlines for the Navy and Marine enlistments of 17 year-olds only one week away, College students intending to apply will have a tight squeeze, since application takes some time.
Just who will have to taken the Navy's April test is still obscure. V-1 men who have completed half or more of their Sophomore year will definitely, and the Marines, NROTC men, and V-7 may possibly be included.
