With only defending champion Yale missing from the Ivy League ranks, the Eastern-Intercollegiate Swimming Championships will definitely take place at the Indoor Athletic Building pool on Friday and Saturday of this week, it was confirmed yesterday by the H. A. A.
Yale will not be represented because of new faculty regulations in line with the college's athletic retrenchment. But 17 colleges, including Harvard, have field a total of 82 entries for the tournament.
Princeton and Navy are each sending 11-men, forming the largest representation. Cornell and Harvard each have nine, Dartmouth six, and Brown and Columbia five. Other colleges with entries include Bowdoin, Lehigh, Massachusetts State College, M. I. T., Pennsylvania, Rutgers, Springfield, Syracuse, and West Point.
